Eastern jointed white pine is a resinous wood that is cut to size and assembled piece by piece. It provides an incomparable strength of resistance.
Features and Benefits:
Light, uniform wood that can be nailed or screwed without cracking;
Finger jointing technology helps to produce higher quality engineered wood. Joints also provide greater stability and reduce warping and torsion problems often found in solid wood;
We use PVAC glue for its exceptional resistance to water, static and heat. This ensures joint stability even in humid or sunny environments, providing a product that is of better quality than solid wood products.
Specifics and Warnings:
It is highly recommended to sand wood moldings before applying a primer. Sanding facilitates the application of topcoats and enhances the natural resistance of white pine.
We suggest painting the moldings in a higher gloss tone than the walls. This will enhance the curves of the moldings and facilitate their maintenance.
Humidity and temperature changes (sunlight, heaters, fireplaces or other heat sources) can cause resin seeps that pass even through dyeing. Clean the resin with turpentine.
Apply a sealer to the 4 faces of moldings to avoid wood resin run-offs. (check with your paint company to add the right sealer).
48 to 72 hours before installing, allow the wood to acclimate to air at ambient heat. Do not store in the basement or in an unheated garage.
